Drop off Forest School Sessions

Suitable for older kids (5-11 years, dependent on session) - leave them with qualified Level 3 instructors, first aid, full dbs and high staff to child ratios.

What is Forest School?

“Let Nature be your teacher.”

William Wordsworth

Forest School is focused on the holistic development of a child.  We do this by providing conditions which allow the child to lead their learning by giving them an environment which supports play, exploration and risk management.

Summer/Easter Camps

At Wilderness Adventures we are passionate about child led outdoor play and learning. We encourage children to explore and communicate their own creative ideas in an outdoor environment.

Activities may include basic survival skills, den building, safe and responsible fire lighting, safe tool use, flora and fauna identification, crafting with natural materials, meditation, art, maps and navigation and wide games

Summer Camps

Our summer camps are run at a private woodlands either at the site of Yorkshire Gateway Hotel at Selby Fork, near Lumby/South Milford or in Kippax, depending on site availability.

We keep the numbers of children small with a high ratio of staff.

Due to the nature of the site we will not be using fire during this course and will focus on the science and development opportunities of Forest School.

Run by Nicola (Level 3 Forest School Leader/Paediatric First Aid/Qualified Teacher) and Molly (Level 3 Forest School leader/Paediatric First Aid/Science Geek).

Sessions run 10-12 Sunday mornings, term time only, pre-booking is essential.

WE ARE CURRENTLY TAKING A BREAK FROM THESE SESSIONS
